Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that children learn best through interaction with each other and
their environment. My class will provide plenty of time to do both.
Special Projects and Creative Teaching Techniques:
I generally cover one topic per month. I will incorporate stories, songs and
games relating to the topic. We do lots of fingerplays and felt board stories.
I read at least two books a day and we do lots of art projects. The children
have one hour of free play. During this time they can play at any of our learning
centers, paint, read, do puzzles, play with playdoh and use the sand/water
table. During circle time, we do calendar, weather, Pledge of Allegiance and
a manners pledge.
Special Interests:
I like spending time with my family, shopping and camping. I love to read
and read as often as possible.
