SCHOOL VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Teacher Support
Teacher Support people are recruited by PACE to coordinate volunteers and
resources for each classroom. Teachers work closely with their support person
each year to schedule volunteers for classroom help, as well as field trips,
parties and other special events. The Support People are often called "Room
Moms/Dads" and are the Teacher's liaisons to other parent volunteers.
Brown Envelope Stuffing
The Brown Envelope is the main mode of communication between school and home.
All important information, including PACE news is delivered each Tuesday.
Teams of PACE volunteers spend approximately two hours every seven weeks stuffing
the Brown Envelope.
Library Book Sale
PACE provides volunteers to sell books for our school Library during Parent/Teacher/Student
conferences in November. Families may purchase books, enjoy them at home and
return them as a donation to the Library.
Staff Appreciation
Each month, PACE volunteers use their culinary skills to cook a meal for our
Staff. During Parent/Teacher/Student conferences, PACE "chefs" keep
a warm meal on the burner for our Staff. PACE also coordinates a fun theme
meal each month on designated days, and includes each classroom in the fun!
