• There is a $50 registration fee due at the time of enrollment.
• EC4 $900/year $100/month
• Stepping Stone (EC4 Extended Day) $1,300/year $150/month
• EC3 $700/year $78/month.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a Christian environment for faith based learning. We believe every child is a unique individual and will allow each child to learn at their own pace. Our approach develops the whole child, as they learn through play to grow intellectually, psychologically, spiritually, socially, and physically. Our goal is for each child to develop a positive attitude about school, to learn to respect themselves and others and to feel a sense of belonging.

Curriculum

The St. Bernard preschool is a literacy-based, child-centered program geared toward "kindergarten readiness". We will ensure your child enters kindergarten with the necessary tools. The preschool program introduces academic learning through play. These building blocks of future learning are age specific.

We focus on the following areas of development:

• Cognitive Growth - Promoting independent thinking, problem solving, and exploration through manipulatives, books, patterning, experiments, and an introduction to the alphabet and numbers.
• Emerging Literacy - Fostering an inquisitive interest for books, understanding the print and picture relationships, allowing for speaking and writing opportunities, and strengthening listening skills.
• Social Growth - Developing an awareness of self, family, and community. Building a positive self-concept through interaction with classmates and teachers.
• Large Motor - Exercising abilities in physical coordination, such as hopping, balancing, ball handling, and musical rhythm.
• Fine Motor - Devloping skills through handling manipulatives, puzzles, and art and writing materials, including use of a scissors.
• Dramatic Play - Encouraging self-expression, imaginative and creative role playing, and life-skills experiences.
• Religion - Demonstrating and practicing Christian values through Bible stories, social interactions, and Christian holidays.

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday afternoons - 12:45 - 3:15; must be four by December of the school calendar year

Monday/Wednesday/ Friday mornings - 8:45 - 11:15; must be four by September 1

Monday/Wednesday/ Friday mornings - 8:45 - 11:15; must be four by September 1

Tuesday/Thursday mornings - 8:45 - 11:15; must be three by September 1,and be toilet trained and self sufficient in the bathroom
