Confirmation

Confirmation

Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation, and the final step towards full membership within the Catholic Church.  A person who is confirmed, receives the Gift of the Holy Spirit, which empowers her/him to continue the work of Jesus, a process which was begun at Baptism.

Confirmation is NOT a graduation, but a continuation / a new beginning, of a life-long journey.  We are NEVER done or finished learning and growing in our faith.   We are "Life-Long Learners", continually experiencing and growing.

For high school juniors, we offer two sessions for Confirmation prep; a Fall session and a Spring session. Students from both St. Bernard and St. Philip join together for this preparation process, with the sessions held at St. Philip.

If you are interested in preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation as a high school junior, please contact Mary Peters, St. Philip Faith Formation Coordinator, at 468-7848 or [email protected].

If you are an adult looking to be confirmed, please contact Joanne Griesbach, St. Bernard Adult Education Coordinator, at 468-4811 or [email protected] .
